No mo' Idol (almost)

So, tonight was the last night of Idol. Well, actually tomorrow will end it, as the winner is announced. I tried calling in for my boy Taylor but no dice, it was totally busy. No biggie, he should win. Randy's comment regarding the fact that Taylor can make an OK song his own really signifies why he should win. Kat's not bad, but she's nothing new. She's Kelly with a weaker voice. She'll have some poppy album with some uptempo dance-pop tracks and some ballads. But Taylor, he's got some flava that'll totally work. Plus, he's so much more MTV-friendly than her. Way more charisma and personality, which should totally get the tenny boppers and tweens to vote his way. But, we shall see...

Gotta update this sucka a bit mo'. Watching the Huey Lewis Live at 25 DVD right now. It's very cool cause I saw him in concert about two years ago and he was really good. He played all the great jams. The DVD really rocks too. It sounds great with true 5.1 surround sound (which is actually kinda rare for concert DVDs.) I was watching the Janet Live in Hawaii last week with the gf who'd never seen a concert DVD before and really enjoyed it. Next on the agenda for her - The Up in Smoke Tour DVD!!! Hell yeah, Snoop and Cube representin'

Other solid DVD concerts that sound sweet:

  • Gloria Estefan: Live in Miami
  • Music for Monteserrat (Knofler's Money for Nothing has got Clapton on backup and Phil Collins on drums)
  • Tina Turner: Amsterdam
  • Tupac: House of Blues
  • Dave Matthews: Listener Supported
  • The Corrs: Live at Albert Hall

Peace out yo
